Funding for sites

With the passing of Substitute House Bill 2078 and the Budget, Outdoor Schools Washington will again have funding for schools to lessen the barriers to attending overnight outdoor educational experiences (outdoor school).

There will also be an opportunity for outdoor school sites and programs to apply for competitive grants. These are on a biennial basis (closed for 23-25). More information at the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO)

https://rco.wa.gov/grant/outdoor-learning-grants/

Schools/districts can also look to iGrants from OSPI for outdoor learning. These are open annually. Head over to OSPI Outdoor Education for All website for more information.
